The Youth International Forum at Gagarin University

The Youth International Forum dedicated to the International Day of the Native language took place in Gagarin University on February 25, 2026. Forum was held with support of Saratov Region Government and the Federal Agency for Nationalities Affairs. The forum joined more than 500 participants, including international students, representatives of government and various national, cultural and religious organizations, experts in philology and intercultural communications.  
Delegation of Saratov Conservatoire took part in different events. Representatives of the Humanities Department Assistant-Professors E. Alexeeva, N. Kilinskaya, N Tyrnikova and the Head of the Humanities Department Assistant-Professor R. Izmailov discussed actual issues of international students’ education at the panel “Dialogue of cultures and the culture of dialog: challenges for the Russian language and education in multicultural background”.  Chief international relations manager N. Grigoreva took part in panel discussion “The language as a key to adaptation: experience of Saratov universities”.
Students took part in discussion platform “Saratov through the eyes of international students”. Master-course student Lin Duan from China (teacher N. Tyrnikova) presented his report “My first impressions of Saratov” and the fourth-year undergraduate student Cao Zhiying (teacher N. Kilinskaya) spoke about musical Saratov. Workshop “Secrets of cross-cultural dialogs” was also organized for international students.
The event became a large-scale discussion and educational platform for considering issues of preserving linguistic diversity and strengthening the unity of peoples.
