10 Ноября 2025,

The delegation of Saratov Conservatoire professors consisting of Vice rector for Educational Affairs and International Relations, Prof. Viacheslav Bondarenko (button-accordion), Prof. Dmitry Boyko (balalayka), Associate Prof. Vladimir Levitsky (piano) and Sergei Maidanov (baritone) performed concerts dedicated to the National Unity Day in Europe.
The program consisting of Russian and French music was performed in Paris on November 6. The concert took place in the Spiritual and Cultural Center «Orthodox Russe» of the Russian Embassy in France. On November 7 and 9 the concerts were held in the Russian Houses in Brussel (Belgium) and in Luxemburg. Within the frame of the events the agreements of cooperation with the Russian Houses were signed.
The Russian Ambassadors to Belgium and Luxemburg D.V. Gonchar and D.D. Lobanov as well as Ambassadors of Russia friendly European countries attended the events. The meetings were dedicated to Russian culture and the concert programs included Russian folk and classical music. Organizers noted the high skills of Saratov Conservatoire professors and confirmed their readiness for further cooperation and development of relations.
The performances in Paris and Brussels were preceded by lectures on Russian music by Mikhail Bryzgalov, Director of the Russian National Museum of Music. The concert in Brussel was combined with the opening of the photo exhibition of the Russian National Museum of Music, dedicated to unique folk instruments of several Russian regions – from the gusli to the vargan and khomus. The day before another photo exhibition «The Pristine Russia» was opened within the frame of the festival.
«Music might be the most universal language of human communication, it often speaks about a person, people, nation better than any words, - noted Mikhail Bryzgalov. – Music of Rachmaninov and Tchaikovsky is identified as Russian from the very first sounds. And I’m sure that Russian music remains one of the best ways to learn more about Russia and fall in love with it».
