“Initiation into Students” ceremony is one of the warmest and most exciting events at Saratov State L.V. Sobinov Conservatoire. This year it took place on October 3.

There was a special atmosphere of anticipation and new hope in the Theater Hall of Conservatoire. The culmination of event were presentations of the first-year students. Though that was their first performance on the Conservatoire historical stage, students were brave and sincere; they had special emotions that only come at the beginning of a long and important way. The performances demonstrated diligence, awe, and a great desire to make a name for themselves.

The event concluded with a touching and symbolic ceremony: the young actors and musicians received memorable presents from the Conservatoire Primary Students’ Union as a sign of official acceptation into student fraternity. After that the Oath of a Conservatoire student was read, which included promises to work hard and preserve traditions of the Conservatoire, willingness to support each other and stay true to Art.

We believe that this bright and emotional event will always be kept in first-year students’ memory. Let it become the starting point to which they could return in moments of doubt and fatigue. Let this memory give them force for moving forward, growing, making mistakes, trying again and becoming true masters of their profession.
