China National Day in Saratov Conservatoire

The concert dedicated to 76-anniversary of Peoples Republic of China and establishing of diplomatic relations between our countries took place on October, 9 at the Theater Hall of Saratov Conservatoire.  
At the beginning of the concert, students were greeted by Rector of Conservatoire, Prof. Alexander G. Zanorin, who noted that in recent years Russian-Chinese friendship reached its peak. During the last two years, announced cross-cultural years in our countries, Saratov Conservatoire took part in a number of events such as the Volga-Yangtze Youth Forums in 2024 and 2025, the Sichuan Conservatory’s Youth Camp in Chengdu (2025); Days of Chinese Culture in Saratov Region (February, 2024). The program of concert prepared by Chinese students, their teachers and concertmasters, included compositions of J. Haydn, W.A. Mozart, L. Beethoven, F. Mendelson, J. Massenet, G. Fauré, Z. Fibich, A. Viskov.
The celebration of National Day in China is traditionally followed by Mid-Autumn Festival. Both holidays symbolize unity. People spend this time with their families, bake “mooncakes”, and express their hopes for a good harvest and prosperity.
